Partner & Project Conditions

Criteria to become GINGO platform experts

  • Have the legal status of foundation or foundation of public utility. It can also be a philanthropic fund or organization.
  • Have expertise/Be active in one or more particular areas: Art & Culture, Job Creation, Dignity, Education, Social Entrepreneurship, Environment, Equity, Integration, Health, Sport.
  • Support philanthropic projects or associations independent of its own structure
  • Be active in Belgium or Luxembourg
  • Have a non-political and non-denominational purpose.
  • Not linked to a particular institution (hospital, university)
  • Eager to contribute to a modern, dynamic and successful philanthropy
  • Being able to participate in the activity of the platform

Criteria for  projects funded by GINGO

  • An expert partner presents a project to the Gingo team. The expert partner selects the project on the basis of the following criteria:
    - The non-profit organisation and/or the project demonstrates sustainable financial and organisational stability. (Crowdgiving must not compromise the existence of the association. The association cannot only rely on this funding to launch an initiative, crowdgiving gives a surplus to improve its activities and eventually allow it to do more than initially planned).
    - The association and/or the project has been in existence for at least 2 years and already has a proven impact.
    - The association and/or the project is active in one of the following fields of activity: Art & Culture, Job Creation, Dignity, Education, Social Entrepreneurship, Environment, Equity, Integration, Health, Sport.
    - The association proposes a concrete project, with specific objectives and an innovative character.
    - The association and the project leaders are able to allocate the time, effort and resources necessary to launch and manage a crowdfunding campaign from A to Z (review here: the steps to create a campaign).
    - Project whose networking (more than the financial contribution) will make it possible to support and bring the project to life.
    - The association and/or the project must have its headquarters and carry out its activities in Belgium or Luxembourg.
  • The association must be able to work in a transparent manner and must be able to provide the following information:
    - The detailed accounts of the association and the project in question
    - A copy of the association's articles of incorporation
    - The names of the persons in charge of the project and the members of the board of directors of the association
    - Project evaluation criteria
    - Its monitoring plan on the allocation of each budget expenditure, the illustration of the implementation and the evolution of the project
  • Project leaders are involved throughout the campaign:
    - A person/team is appointed to manage the organization before, during and after the crowdgiving campaign (min. 0.5 FTE per week throughout the campaign).
    - The team produces the video presentation of the project of maximum 2min in FR and NL for Belgium, in FR and EN for Luxembourg.
    - The team produces the presentation the association, a text describing this association’s activity as well as the project, written in FR and NL for Belgium, in FR and EN for Luxembourg.
    - The team is committed to providing the effort, time and resources necessary to carry out the campaign.
  • Project leaders must be able to monitor the project for one year after the end of the campaign:
    - The team is committed to updating the progress of the project, at least 4 times a year.
    - The team is committed to providing photos, text and explanations of the project's progress.
